Thac Mo Ward Meeting to Celebrate 42 Years of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2024)

On the afternoon of November 16, 2024, the People's Committee of Thac Mo Ward held a meeting to celebrate the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2024). Attending the meeting were Mr. Tran Quang Minh - former Standing Deputy Secretary of the Town Party Committee, former Head of the Town Education and Training Department; representatives of the Phuoc Long Town Education Promotion Association; leaders of the Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thac Mo Ward, along with the participation of education managers, retired teachers and those currently working at schools in the ward. At the meeting, the leaders of the People's Committee of Thac Mo Ward spoke to review the tradition of 42 years of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2024), emphasizing the tradition of studiousness, "respect for teachers and esteem for education" of our nation; the important position and role of teachers in the current social development. At the same time, it is affirmed that the Party, the State and the People always pay attention and take comprehensive care of the education and training cause. In recent years, the education and training cause in Thac Mo ward has made steady progress, achieving many proud achievements thanks to the attention of Thac Mo ward in particular, Phuoc Long town in general, along with the silent dedication of educational management staff, retired teachers and those currently working in Thac Mo ward. Thac Mo ward currently has 3 schools meeting national standards at level 1, reaching 100%; 123/125 teachers meet the standards according to the 2019 Education Law, reaching 98.4%; facilities and equipment of schools have been paid attention to and invested in, serving well the needs of teaching and learning according to the current program. In particular, the team of teachers is dedicated, responsible and passionate about their profession, innovating management work, teaching and learning methods, promoting digital transformation in education, contributing to the successful completion of educational and training targets and tasks, contributing to socio-economic development.
